"I remember the yellow mosquito we'd hang over the bed each night we go to sleep when we were kids," I told my brother while he was hunched over an old wicker chair he's been fixing for the past half hour. "Yeah, and you'd always be the one hanging it," he said dryly with his back still turned to me. "Would you hand me those scissors behind you?" he asked without even turning. "That's because you suck at it. You never knew how to stretch it well enough so that it won't droop over our faces when we sleep," and I poked his shoulder with the scissors. 0 min read

"She" sat beside Brian while the two of us were finishing off the rice and remaining chunks of oily pork floating in coconut milk we just had in Aling Mameng's 24-hour eatery. It was an hour past midnight here at Leveriza, the night is already bewitched and the colorful "night birds" from Mhayet's Beauty Parlor from across the street start to "fly" out of their roost. These "birds" are the transvestite/transgender friends of Mhayet – an ageing gay man with big, sad eyes, a tumor g

Hello,
My name is Sloan Gomez
I'm the graphic/layout guy for Vision Magazine (www.visionmagazine.com) based out of Hillcrest. We are a holistic & green consciousness monthly free publication. We print 90,000 copies of each 10"x10", 48 page issue and distribute from the Mexico border up to San Francisco/Bay Area, No. Arizona and Hawaii. If you want to see a digital version of the magazine, please go HERE. www.visionmagazine.com

If we use your work for one of our issues we would like to feature you one on the cover (full color) and also give you page 45 which is a non-ad, full color spread for more of your work, contact info, and bio. We would also feature you online as our "visionary artist".

You would be exposed to a huge holistic market that you might not be exposed to at the moment, plus be featured along the west coast in 90,000 copies to 250,000+ readers.
Please let us know asap if you are interested as we are approaching deadline.

Our theme for December 2012 theme is "Conscious Community"
Can you send images that you feel might work with this theme?
